This boy. This boy, once my baby, is so ... big now. Some days I walk him up to school and still get choked up. He's so independent and smart. Almost too smart for his own good sometimes. He's doing very well in kindergarten, enjoys his friends and teachers and work. But he comes home and just wants to play sports and be silly and relax. And while I wish he would play football downstairs instead of the living room, and when he asks to play computer games AGAIN even when they have been taken away, and when he isn't patient with his brothers and yells at them TO GET OFF HIS BED.....I remember times, like today, when he had a HUGE smile on his face at his Thanksgiving lunch when he saw us, when yesterday he played so wonderfully with Nate and they had a big adventure together and laughed and laughed. He is by no means perfect, but he's a great kid. :)
P.S. Why didn't he smile with his teeth?? He has great teeth! This one is for the record books.

Nate's Choices
Greg: I'm going to Giant, can I get you anything?
Me: Sure, a Gatorade. You know what color.
Greg: Yes, orange, I know.
James: I want a Gatorade too! I want green!
Nate: I want a Gatorade too!
Greg: Okay, Nate, what color do you want, green or orange?
Nate: Red!
A boy of few words, but those he has, he uses. :)

From Nate's teacher
Email from Nate's teacher, Weds, Nov. 16:
Hey Jenn,
just had to share --- Nate's turn came with the "thankerchief" and he thought really hard, then said "I'm thankful for hair"---of course I thought maybe it was a speech thing (maybe we didn't understand)---I said tell us again Nate -- he pointed to his head and said "I'm thankful for hair". we talked about how hair protects us and keeps us warm. He's creative---love that kid!
have a good night, P.

Dylan is 1!
Happy Birthday to my sweet baby today. At 6:21 p.m. Nov. 9, 2010, he arrived with a vengeance. Out like a lion, here like a lamb. :) Dylan is sweet, adorable, happy, and loving. He has truly completed our family. Here are some photos from our fun celebration. We went with an owl theme. :) It was great. I might have gone a bit nuts with details. :)
