Time flies

I seriously don't know how it's been almost two weeks since I've posted. We've been busy but not crazy. Argh. Last week we had a decent amount of snow and ice, so we were home for a few days. Not a big deal, but somehow James got a cold. Which of course Nate got. So for the past three nights he's been sleeping with us because of the congestion. Poor baby. I think the worst is behind us though. Keep your fingers crossed.

Otherwise, we had James's teacher conference. All is well. He won't pee on the potty at school, but we're okay with that. He's still young for it. As long as he's trained by next fall! :) We will be sending James to the same school next fall. Not only am I lazy, frankly, but I love the school and have been super pleased. So why rock the boat??

On a sad note, my uncle passed away last week. My parents made their third trip to Charleston, SC in the past month. My father is my uncle's only sibling, and there is no will, so my dad has a lot of work to do. Fortunately, they found a lot of papers and were able to do a lot last week. It's very sad but my uncle was recently very sick. So he is at peace and without pain. Thanks for being such a fan of sports and books and travel, Uncle Walt!

Otherwise, life continues marching forward. Nate is growing like a weed, eating good solids, and continuing to be utterly happy and adorable. I swear I just fall more in love with him every day. And James continues to be sweet, chatty and fun - frustrating and crazy sometimes, but that is his age. He's showing some signs of jealousy here and there and at night does NOT want Greg to put him to bed. He really wants time with me. So, I think I need to schedule some one on one time with him coming up. He would enjoy it as would I. In general, though, he's just the best big brother to Nate.
