We had a good weekend this past weekend. Saturday I attended a baby shower and the boys played here. Greg made a Thai dish that night, it was good. Sunday we went downtown to the Natural History Museum (must download photos). James loved it. Especially the huge elephant in the Rotunda - he kept on pointing at it and making elephant noises. He also loved the mammals room and the dinosaurs. After two hours we all lost our energy a bit and got in the car - thankfully we found a super close spot (Sunday!) and easily got in and out. Of course, as James was munching on his picnic lunch (banana, cheese stick, cold pasta) Greg and I decided to swing by The Italian Store in Arlington for sandwiches. Apparently this craving is to be blamed on me. I'd like to blame the 6 inch fetus inside of me (thank you!). It was a great sandwich - unheated deli meat and all! I had rehearsal Sunday night and last night so am happy to have tonight and tomorrow off before the BIG GIG on Thursday. I'm actually not nervous but I should practice music again once before the gig.
James slept late this morning (8:40!) so after our playdate at Ali's we went to Giant and then home for lunch. James, as usual, helped unload the groceries but then got too hungry to help with the dishes. He was extremely pleased to note I'd purchased chicken tenders and strawberries for him. To be honest, they tasted pretty good to me too. :) It's the little things.
Some final exciting news - Greg's sister is having a girl! We are very excited for them that baby # 1 is doing so well. Our babies will practically be twins - it's really cool that they'll be so close in age. James is the odd man out between his older cousins but that's okay - until we find out the sex of our baby, he is still the only boy!
