Where does the time go?

I wish I had funny/witty anecdotes to share each day/week, but unfortunately, I'm plum out of witty stuff these days. So we'll go back to our report o' the past few days.

The weekend was good - actually, I can't honestly remember what we did....hhhmm...oh, right: Saturday we did a Nature class with the Town of Herndon parks & recs. It was about monarch butterflies. It was sweet and fun. And then we walked around Runnymeade Park for a while. We had a meal delivered that night (thank you Leslie) and then just relaxed. Sunday we had zero plans so we went and got James new shoes for school (they are Lightning McQueen and light up - SO cool) and then got ice cream and saw the puppies at the preschool. So a quiet weekend, but successful. I also got a pair of cheap tennis shoes because I can't find mine. So now I have zilcho excuse to not run/exercise. I might go out today when Greg gets home because the weather is so lovely.

Monday we had a playdate at Lauren/Luke/Max's house. It was fun and the big boys jumped on and off the furniture a lot. James showed off his climbing technique. Sigh. After nap we played outside (i.e. I pushed James on the swing for 40 minutes) and then Greg came home to play with James (i.e. rescue me). Nate survived both the nature class and the swinging session in his Bjorn.

Tuesday I took Nate for his one month check up: STATS ALERT: officially...at one month, Nate is:

11 pounds (!!) - a gain of nearly 3.5 pounds since birth - almost 4 since leaving the hospital.
22 and 3/4 inches long - a lengthening of 2 and 1/4 inches
15 inches head circumference.

So he's 90th percentile for height and weight and 50th for head. No wonder I didn't tear. :)

Anyway, then Nate and I went to the post office to mail the VT tickets we sold on Ebay and then came home to rescue Nana and Tata from James duty. Friend Megan and daughter Abby came over then to play. The two kids were very funny together. Then we had lunch. After nap we went to Frying Pan Park and met up with Elizabeth/Tyler/twins and Laura/Brady/Cole for animal/playground time. James was VERY upset when we left.

Today our plans changed as Barbara's daughter Sophie had a fever, so, we hit Giant to drop off Nate's prescriptions and then got bagels while we waited, then headed to Heather's for a MOMS Club playgroup. James is currently sleeping and Nate is...protesting his crib. So I have to go. I was going to post photos but must run now!!
