Baking and Running

I've been doing a lot of both of these lately. I've been craving sugar and chocolate, and so have reached beyond my usual chocolate chip cookies (although I did make those today). I made peanut butter chocolate bars and oatmeal chocolate chip. I've made banana chocolate chip bread, banana muffins, and again, chocolate chip cookies, along with homemade pancakes (with chocolate chips, of course). Of course, making all these sweets has not helped my weight loss. Hence, the running. I've re-discovered my love of running, after taking off about 3 years to birth two children. It was slow going at first, but now I'm aching to just get out there every day (impossible with those aforementioned two children, but still, the feeling feels GOOD). I've signed up for a 5k in a few weeks and am looking forward to it. I may not be as fast as I used to be, but it will be a good challenge. And, man, those cookies have tasted good.

Love of running - definitely not something I share. I'm so impressed. I actually impressed myself the other day when I was able to run for a half mile on our treadmill. Now compared to your 5K I don't feel so proud of myself :-(

20 pounds down, 20 to go! Ugh.
