It is here. Today is Oct. 31, 2008. The Halloween celebrations have concluded. Thank God.
We started today at Wee Play - the theme was pumpkins and Halloween. It was really fun. I have to say that the class is a delight and I enjoy it. I don't think I can take another with James and Nate as Nate will be mobile relatively soon. But I will hopefully do a class with Nate next year when James is in school. Anyway, we did fun circle time, then craft time, then play time, then snack time (yummy pumpkin muffins). I enjoy Wee Play for both the fun for James and also for the chance to catch up with friends.
After class (during which Nate fell asleep in the Bjorn, clearly he was way over the whole thing) we had lunch with Greg at Red Robin. Oy, my weight loss has halted! Yummy burgers. Came home, did nap, and then Greg got home early. Our pumpkin was carved last night (I forgot to mention that, it was fun, I have photos, I swear!) and put out front (all lit up), the candy was put together, and James and Nate were re-dressed FOR THE LAST TIME in their firemen costumes. We did trick or treating with James while Nate slept in the stroller (again, he is so blase about holidays). James very cutely followed our instructions to say "trick or treat" and "thank you". We hit about 10 houses near us and then I came home with a fussy Nate while Greg and James continued on for a while. They came home and were pretty cold - but then James got into his candy. A few pieces later and we're still awake at 9:30 p.m. Oh, well, it's finally over. As my SIL Jen said, she's Halloween'ed out. I am too. It's been a fun celebration but if this is just the beginning of the craziness that is Halloween these days....oh, I'm poooped.
