Nate's 6 Months Stats

Nate had a great 6 months check up on Monday - here are his stats:

Height: 28.25 inches (92%)
Weight: 17 pounds, 14.5 ounces (50%)
Head: (I think) 17 inches (or a bit more) (50%)

Other than a concern about his weight percentile dropping (from 70th to 50th), he's doing very well. I told the doctor that I'm not concerned at all about his weight as James dropped from 90th to 5th percentile in his first year. So considering how closely related the boys are, I was expecting another long, slim boy. Nate IS considerably bigger at this age than James was, so I don't think he'll drop as much. In any case, he's still nursing great, and currently eating two meals a day. Some days are better than others. His taste buds are leaning more towards the "compound" level 2 foods: the vegetable risotto with cheese and the mac & cheese with veggies. He adored those jars. So I think I need to buy more of those.

Otherwise, he rolls like a champ - either direction and all over the room. Doesn't sit up well on his own, but the milestone was apparently "sits with assistance". He was very happy and sweet with the doctor, so she just had nothing but good things to say. :) Of course, the smile was long gone when the nurse came to give Nate all his shots. Blech.
