It's mid-May already?!

How did that happen? Where did the time go? I thought I just wrote that snarky post yesterday...

Anyway....another long absence caused by queasiness. But never fear! As of yesterday I feel almost normal. That feeling seems to last until about 3 p.m. when I just want to collapse. But a well-timed Coke seems to do the trick (sorry Baby, I just can't do it without my soda!).

Since the last post....

April 29 - My 13 week check up. Everything is looking and sounding good. Baby's heart rate in the 160s. She found it so quickly - which she said is sort of unusual. Obviously we have a high achiever on our hands.

May 3 - Our 7th wedding anniversary. We actually didn't and haven't celebrated - I had rehearsal that night so we are just going to celebrate at some other time. But we enjoyed remembering our wedding day and the past 7 years.

Mother's Day weekend - I had two big gigs - Friday and Sunday. I spent hours downtown both days for them. They went well but it was tiring. Greg brought the boys on Sunday for the afternoon show. They were really well-behaved and it was lovely to have them there.

Coming up....

James's birthday party at school (speaking of, they had a Mother's Day Tea yesterday at school and it was ADORABLE)

A trip to the beach in New Jersey (hoping that doesn't get canceled since James has a slight fever today....am thinking we'll be okay, it's 4 days from now)

A trip to Ohio for my grandma's 90th birthday (same weekend as James's 4th birthday so I'm working in cupcakes and balloons and celebrations for him as well -- he's also asking for a Chuck E. Cheese birthday so I have to get my mind around that soon) and hopefully to pick up our piano from Greg's uncle's house

A busy June with camp and then our trip to Denver, which I'm working on the itinerary for slowly but surely. It's looking like the most expensive part of our trip will be the rental car. At first I thought about getting a minivan but we've decided that a standard SUV (as Greg puts it, "It IS Colorado after all") will work for our current family of 4.

And sometime in June we will have our 20 week ultrasound. It will be a welcome event as I am anxious to find out the sex of the baby. I am most concerned about the baby's health, of course, but then went to selfishly know if I should wash all of our clothes or go shopping. :)

Until next time....
