No, not from James. From people, again, that I really do NOT know. My optometrist today asked me what medications I was taking - I told him just pre-natal vitamins. He said congratulations and did I know what I was having? (I am pleased that at least I am not so huge that he presumed). I told him another boy. He asked how many I had already. I said just one. He said, oh, man, watch out, you're going to be in trouble with all those boys running around. And proceeds to tell me that he's one of three boys and blah blah blah. Um, dude, I get it that I'm going to be outnumbered. That little fact does not escape me. But hey, you could have said congratulations and let it be!
He then goes on to tell me (I guess this guy gets non-talkers in his chair) that he and his wife are "thinking" about kids. His wife apparently wants girls, he wants boys. I said, well, you know what? You have pretty much no control over the situation so while I wished them the best in their goals for the cute nuclear family image, I rolled my eyes. People who don't have children just don't get that it just doesn't matter...the moment they place the baby in your arms -- you just love him or her and are really glad they are there safely.
