Another Day Closer

We are now two days from the due date - no signs of anything happening though. We grilled kebabs last night and I added spicy peppers to mine. No dice. Luckily I slept well, which I'm so glad about.

Today was a quiet day. We went to a MOMS Club meeting at the library and then did Chick Fil A drive through. James wasn't super tired at 1:30 for nap -- by the time I left his room, around 2, I thought he was sleeping. Alas, at 2:15 I heard him in there: he'd taken off his diaper and was wandering the room with it. Guess I do need to put his shorts on him for nap! So I changed him and got him to sleep for real around 2:30. But then, I knew I'd have to wake him at 4:30 to make our evening manageable. So we missed out on the pool, which he'd asked for earlier in the day, and also hanging out with friends (it seemed weird/rude to show up at our friends' house and play for a few minutes and then have to come home to make dinner).

So luckily James woke up easily and we played, colored, and watched Thomas. I made dinner (nothing spicy) but then we did take a family walk around the block and played at the elementary school playground. James had a ball - the "car" is a big hit. He thinks it's a firetruck (why correct him?). The boys chased each other around the playground and kicked the ball around. Leaving was difficult, there was a tantrum. But by 8 James was sweaty and I wanted him to cool off and bathe before bedtime.

So here we are. I have just sent Greg out for a Vanilla Frosty and I'm going to go start the Netflix movie we just got. Hopefully the walk will help with SOMETHING. I'm going to go check the moon, see how full it looks at this point. :)

So if I go into labor you won't see a new post for a while. Since there are 3 of you who check this out, I'm sure you will get an email from me anyway! :)
