The other night some very nice Mormom girls came to our door. One asked:
"What brings you joy?"
I should have said:
"Weed".
Or, "Meth"; or "Booze".
But instead, I hemmed and hawwed (spelling totally wrong here) and said, "Thanks but no thanks". They asked to leave a card and I said, "I'm a practicing Catholic. Have a good night....and, God bless you."
I thought the last part was nice. Although knowing me, it was sort of a smart aleck thing to say.
