Jamesisms

A few things I didn't want to forget:
1) Lately James has been going into the kitchen (when I'm in the living room, so I can't see everything he's doing) and he makes noise (clanging, opening drawers, etc.). I yell and ask what he's doing and he says "cooking!". He then comes out of the kitchen wearing an apron, holding an oven mitt on his hand, and carrying a wooden spoon. It's hilarious because he just looks so happy and proud of himself. Generally, by the way, he's making me hot dogs, mac & cheese, and coffee. :)
2) I might have already written about this, but I can't remember. At night time, James and I say good night to his family and friends (after we repeat his prayer from school). To mix things up a bit, I started saying good night to silly things (okay, now I am thinking I did write about this, but oh well) like cheese, noodles, helicopters, etc. Again, hilarity ensues (aren't you laughing yet?). So now we say good night to silly things. And also, in the car, we often say hello to silly things. I'm hoping that while it's silly, James is learning to come up with new words. Oh, and we switch turns, which is good for sharing when it comes time to being with friends. James understands that we each take turns and he will often go in order, "Mommy, it's your turn" and then Daddy, and then James.
3) James hasn't napped three out of the last four days. I'm not sure what's up. Today he fell asleep at 6:15 on the way home from a playdate (we were in bad traffic due to an accident). I carried him inside and he hasn't made a peep.
